Angelica

Angelica Panganiban was born in the Philippines. She's now a Filipino American actor, comedian, television host and model. Panganiban was dubbed as the queen of Drama by various media. In 2012 when Angelica Hale was just 4 years old, she was very sick with a double pneumonia attributed to a serious strep bacteria infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston placed her on ECMO which is a lifesaving treatment. She developed multiple organ failures and kidneys that did not recover. The rest of her life was a new routine of hemodialysis and the peritoneal dilation. After having spent 80 days in hospital, she went from being close to death, and then a lengthy recovering road. After a year and a half of dialysis Angelica was ready for the most significant operation of her life-her kidney transplant. It was her own mother who was the one to donate her kidney. Angelica Hale along with her mother went through the transplant of a kidney at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston on September 13th 2013. Angelica Hale has been pursuing her dream of becoming a star ever since.
